Key findings

Xenophobic groups and activists partly abandoned their attacks on Muslims, migrants, Roma, and LGBT+ groups, as their theme became the measures against Covid-19. With the relaxation of the measures against Covid-19, anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim themes have again become more prominent. A parliamentary assistant of one politician (SPD, Svoboda a přímá demokracie / Freedom and Direct Democracy) was convicted for publishing online articles inciting anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim, and anti-Arab hatred. In 2021, the Police recorded 7 crimes motivated by hatred toward Muslims. In 2021, the Police of the Czech Republic also recorded 1 crime motivated by hatred towards Arabs.
